Construction and engineering projects are inherently complex, and involve high levels of risks. You are a solicitor, working in either contentious or non-contentious matters, who wants to be involved in the whole end to end process providing clear, practical and robust advice.
Due to continued growth and success, opportunities have arisen in both contentious and non-contentious construction as part of a collective Construction & Infrastructure team with a well established and highly regarded Global Commercial Firm. Investing in the best technology and with a purpose to transform legal services, engage their people and do things differently – these are rare openings not to be missed.
Collaboration and innovation underpin the culture of this team, and from your Scottish office you will be working on high profile and interesting projects across a variety of sectors on a national scale, and you will report directly into your Edinburgh or Glasgow Partner, depending on where you are based.
- Qualified Solicitor with an understanding of construction and engineering, either in contentious construction (working largely with employer and contractor clients, carrying out adjudication and court work, with some arbitration) or non-contentious construction (knowledge and experience in drafting and revising contracts and appointments for a range of projects and parties).
- Have drive and enthusiasm for your work – you are eager for your career to progress and you want to work with a firm who are progressive and forward-thinking.
- Excellent client relationship skills; you are a strong communicator and can maintain relationships which are based on trust and longevity.
