Overview of Excise Controller role:
The Excise Controller is responsible for controlling, monitoring and reporting all movements of Cased and Bulk stocks across all sites to ensure full company compliance to all UK and EC regulations and legislation. The role is responsible for providing a reference point on all matters relating to the Customs & Excise Regulations and to advise implementation accordingly

Previous experience gained within a HMRC or excise role in a risk based FMCG / Manufacturing environment. Experience of HMRC audits including bulk stock takes. Previous experience of leading initiatives to drive improvements. Experience of policy auditing and writing. Detailed understanding of Customs & Excise legislation. Detailed knowledge of Excise reporting procedures, HMRC systems e.g. NES, EMCS. Thorough knowledge of ERP systems (e.g. TROPOS our internal system) is preferable. Proficient in all micrsodft office packages.
This role will require some overnight travel on occasions.
