Immigration Paralegal

Role – Immigration Paralegal

Location - Glasgow, Scotland (WFH Included)

Salary – Dependent on Experience

Immigration has become a very volatile sector of law the past years as Brexit has shaped immigration law substantially. This opportunity sees you deal with immigration specific cases and build relationships with clients in need of legal aid.

You have experience handling a wide range of immigration and employment law cases and have knowledge of the full civil litigation process. Who are they looking for?

  • A good working knowledge of UK immigration policies and appeals procedures (Desired, but not essential).
  • Knowledge of Employment Law.
  • Experience of working in similar environment.
  • Excellent verbal and internal personal skills.
  • An empathetic and understanding individual.
  • Highest standard of client care and experience of building long-term relationships.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work to deadlines whilst producing high quality work.

Key responsibilities are:

  • Assistance with all administrative tasks for the team and ensuring compliance with firm file management processes.
  • Responsible for engaging with clients from initial instruction throughout the management of their applications.
  • You’ll be responsible for managing the extensive web enquiries from new clients and arranging Solicitor consultations.
  • Assisting with instructions, preparation, and submission of indefinite leave to remain, nationality applications, entry clearance applications, points-based system applications, visa extensions and appellate work.
