Underwriting Assistant (12 month contract)

HRC Recruitment is delighted to be working with this award-winning insurer in their search for a an underwriting assistant to join their commercial insurance underwriting team on a 12 month fixed term contract.

The role:

  • To support the specialist underwriters in all aspects of underwriting and account management, with a focus on administrative tasks and reporting/analysis.
  • Act as first point of contact for brokers and suppliers
  • To assist in the preparation of statistics and documentation
  • Chasing and managing brokers to ensure that required documents are received
  • Collecting and assessing application forms and valuation fees
  • Supporting the team with underwriting administration duties

The person:

  • Experience of working in the commercial insurance market essential
  • Understanding of insurance risks and handling new and existing business quotations
  • Comprehensive admin skills, excellent IT skills and strong numerical skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships essential

This position is on a 12 month fixed term contract

Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm
